WB Prachesta Prokolpo 2020: This Pandemic of Corona Virus COVID-19 has a harsh effect on livelihood for large number fo worker / daily wage earner and labourer in the unrecognised sector of West Bengal. In order to help these worker Government of West Bengal, Finance Department has announced a scheme named Prachesta Prokolpo. This scheme all the worker will be benefited from financial assistance so they can pass through this difficult time. The scheme will activate from 15th April to 15th May 2020. It is a Government of West Bengal initiative to help necessitous people fight against COVID-19. The aspirant who fulfils all the eligibility criteria asked for the Scheme can fill up the Prachesta Application form as soon as possible. WB Government assures that they are always with the people of Bengal in this global epidemic situation.
About The Prachesta Scheme:
This new scheme called Prachesta will provide financial assistance to labourer / daily wage earner who had lost their income due to this Corona spread. Under this scheme, the labourer/worker who does not have any alternative sustainable source of income and is passing through extreme distress will get paid Rs 1000/- as the support.
Eligibility Criteria for West Bengal Prachesta Scheme
Any labourer / daily worker of West Bengal who had lost their income source in this Corona outbreak are eligible to apply for this scheme. But still aspirant should clarify all criteria before they apply or it could be possible that the application form could be cancelled.
1. The labourer/daily Wage/worker should be the sole bread-winner of the family.
2. Only one person from a family will be eligible.
3. Applicant should not be a beneficiary of any social scheme of the state, like a social pension scheme (Old age, widow and disability pension), Samajik Suraksha Yojana (SSY) etc.
How to Apply:
Eligible candidates can download the application form through the official website of West Bengal Government which is www.gov.in. The filled up application form should be submitted to District Magistrate in the districts or Commissioner and to KMC for Kolkata Municipal Corporation area.
