Eligibility criteria for West Bengal Police Sub-Inspector/Lady Sub-Inspector Post
Education Qualification:
As for this post, candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in any subjects from government recognized university.
Physical Efficiency:
For male candidates, height should not be less than 167 cm and weight 57 kg and chest 79 cm (without expansion), and 84 cms (with expansion) for general category candidates. For female candidates, height should not be less than 160 cm and weight 48 kg. For the Armed forces, male candidates’ height should not be less than 173cm chest 86cm with an expansion of 5 cm weight 60kg.
Age limit & Relaxation:
The applicant must not be less than 18 (eighteen) years old and must not be more than 27 (twenty-seven) years old as of 01/01/2021. The Upper-age limit shall be relaxed for the SC/ST applicants of West
Bengal only by 05 (five) years and OBC applicants of West Bengal only by 03 (three) years.
How to Apply:
The West Bengal Police Recruitment Board extends the facilities of both online and offline submission of
applications. Applicants will be able to submit applications under this mode using the website
wbpolice.gov.in by filling up their information including scanned photographs and signatures. Applicants are
advised to follow the procedure properly for applying through online mode.
Selection Process:
The posts of Sub-Inspector/Lady Sub-Inspector in the West Bengal Police shall be filled up based on qualifying the Preliminary Written Test which will act as screening examination followed by the Physical Measurement Test (PMT), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Final Written Examination, and Interview to be conducted by the West Bengal Police Recruitment Board.
Application fee: All categories of candidate Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe (of West Bengal only), shall pay Rs. 293/- as application fee through online mode. Candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe (of West Bengal only) shall pay Rs. 43/- only.
Payscale:
Selected candidates will get paid West Bengal Police in the Pay Scale of Level – 10 in the pay matrix Rs. 32,100 – Rs. 82,900.
