Siliguri College, also known as city college, was established in the year 1950. It is the oldest college in Siliguri situated in the Indian state of West Bengal. It offers undergraduate courses in arts and sciences and also offers PG courses in Bengali and geography. The campus is in the Darjeeling district. It is affiliated and accredited to the University of North Bengal. The college has the following departments in the field of Science and Arts. The college is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC). Eligibility Criteria for Siliguri College Admission:
For Honours Course: Candidates must carry 45% marks in aggregate or 50% marks in the subject in which honours is intended in H.S. (10+2) (H.S. (Vocational) not applicable in any honours courses).
For General Course: Candidates must pass in H.S. examination or equivalent.
Candidates should have passed the H.S. Examination or equivalent from the West Bengal Council of higher secondary education or any board enlisted by North Bengal University within the last three year (i.e. 2020, 2019, 2018). A relaxation of two years may be given to those candidates who have obtained special permission from UG Secretary, Gour Banga University.

Siliguri College Merit List:
Admission will be strictly on a merit basis. The merit point of an applicant will be judged by taking into account 10% of the marks obtained in the best five subjects and the marks obtained in the subject applied for. Merit list for admission will be based on marks obtained in the best five subjects including two languages and three elective subjects for Honours subjects. Applicant having only one language subject will not be entertained.
