The History of Sailajananda Falguni Smriti Mahavidyalaya is not very old yet it bears high glory and testimony to its life. The Foundation was of the college was led on 17th July 1995 in the memory of two eminent Bengali Literature’s namely Salilajananda Mukhopadhyay and Falguni Mukhopadhyay of this locality. It is the pioneering higher education to impart quality education to the students of poor, remote, and backward sections of this area. It got its affiliation to the University of Burdwan on 17th August 1998 and offers three years degree course of art faculty in different honors and General subjects as per the syllabus of the University.
