About Mugberia Gangadhar Mahavidyalaya:
Mugberia Gangadhar Mahavidyalaya, established in 1964, is one of the oldest colleges in the Purba Medinipur district. It offers undergraduate courses in arts and sciences. It is affiliated with Vidyasagar University. Recently, Mugberia Gangadhar Mahavidyalaya has been re-accredited and awarded a B+ grade with a CGPA of 2.71 by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The college is also recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC). The Department of Physical Education of Mugberia Gangadhar Mahavidyalaya was recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) Eastern Regional Committee (ERC) Bhubaneswar in 2007 to conduct the Bachelor of Physical Education (B.P.Ed.) and in 2014 for Master of Physical Education (M.P.Ed.) Admission Criteria of Mugberia Gangadhar Mahavidyalaya:
Candidates who are passing the Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or any other equivalent board/council in the years 2020/2019/2018 are eligible to apply. However, a candidate passing the 10+2 level examination before 2018 with the above-mentioned criteria can also apply after getting special permission from the Secretary, UG Council of Vidyasagar University, Paschim Medinipur.
 Candidate must have passed in 5(Five)/4(Four) (where applicable) recognized subjects including at least one language subject.
 Candidates who passed the vocational Course can apply in B.A. (General) Course only.
 For the Honours course, the candidates must have passed with at least 45% marks in aggregate or 50% marks in subjects or related subjects in the qualifying examination.
