About Mahishadal Raj College:
Mahishadal Raj College, established in 1946, is the second oldest college in Purba Medinipur district. It offers undergraduate courses in arts, commerce and sciences. It is affiliated with Vidyasagar University. Mahishadal Raj College was established by Mahishadal raj in 1946 at Garh Kamalpur, Mahishadal, aiming at providing low cost higher education. It was originally affiliated with the University of Calcutta until its affiliation was changed to Vidyasagar University in 1985. The college was founded on August 1, 1946, by Kumar Debaprasad Gagra Bahadur, the then “Raja” of Mahishadal. In 2016 Mahishadal Raj College has been awarded an A grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The college is also recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC).

Eligibility Criteria for Mahishadal Raj College Admission 2021 – College Merit List, Last Date
Eligibility Criteria:
The students who have passed Higher Secondary (+2) or equivalent examination are eligible for admission to General Degree Course. Eligibility of admission to Honours Degree Course in any subject is to pass Higher Secondary or equivalent examination in the Second Division (i.e. 45% marks of the total of five major subjects) at least with minimum qualifying marks in that particular subject. An applicant can apply for a maximum of 3 Honours subjects in a single form. For more than 3 Honours subjects he/she has to apply through another form. An applicant can apply for a maximum of 1 general course (B.A./B.Sc./B.Com) in a single form. For more than 1 General course he/she has to apply through another form.
i) If an applicant passes the H.S./equivalent exam. with English and Bengali/Hindi as two compulsory language subjects, he/she has to select 2 from the drop-down options of no. of language subjects studied in H.S./equivalent course.
ii) If an applicant passes the H.S./Equivalent exam. with English as only one compulsory language subject, he/she has to select 1 from the drop-down options of no. of language subjects studied in H.S./equivalent course.
