About Mahadevananda Mahavidyalaya:
Mahadevananda Mahavidyalaya, established in 1968, is the general degree college in Manirampur, Barrackpore. It offers undergraduate courses in arts, commerce and sciences. It is affiliated with West Bengal State University. The college was established by Late Swami Jyotirmoyananda Giri Maharaj, in the memory of Late Swami Mahadevananda Giri Maharaj on the day of Krishna Janmashtami on 15 August 1968. Since 15 August (Independence day of India) being a holiday, the 16th day of August has been officially declared as Foundation Day. Mahadevananda Mahavidyalaya is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC). It was accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and awarded a B++ grade in January 2016.

Eligibility Criteria:
The B.A./B.Sc./B.Com. degree (hons./gen.) is meant for those who have passed the Higher Secondary examination conducted by the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education in 10+2 pattern or an examination recognized as equivalent by the West Bengal State University, provided she/he has passed at least in five subjects with English as a compulsory subject. Students who have passed 10+2 in 2020 and 2021 are also eligible to apply.
