About Kharagpur College:
Kharagpur College, established in 1949, is one of the Heritage Colleges in Paschim Medinipur. It offers Undergraduate & Postgraduate courses in Arts, Commerce and Science. It is affiliated with Vidyasagar University. Popularly known as Inda College. This college has been re-accredited by NAAC Peer Team in the year 2016 and was awarded B++ in the second cycle of accreditation. Kharagpur College was established on 29 August 1949 on the premises of the Silver Jubilee School at Kharagpur, Puratan Bazar. Saleha Khatoon, the wife of late Nasir Ali Khan of Panchberia, Kharagpur, donated the land for college construction and the construction was started under the dispersal scheme of the state government on 2 July 1951. The college later shifted its operation to the present permanent site at Inda, Kharagpur.

Eligibility Criteria for Kharagpur College:
Students must have passed the HS examination with minimum of 45% marks in the aggregate or 50% marks in the Subject or Related Subject to apply for admission in Hons. Course except for English (Hons.). To apply for English (Hons.), students must obtain 50% marks in English in the HS examination. To apply for BCA (Hons), candidates must pass with 50% marks in Mathematics/Computer science/Computer application. In addition to the clause, any student seeking admission with Economics (Hons.) or Accountancy (Hons.) must have obtained 45% marks in Mathematics in Secondary/Madhyamik examination or passed Mathematics at HS examination. Students seeking admission in Physics (Hons.) and Chemistry (Hons.) must have obtained 60% marks in Mathematics in the HS examination. Students must obtain pass marks in at least five subjects to apply for both Honours and General Courses. Students passing HS examination in 2020, 2019 & 2018 can only submit their application forms online.
Aggregate:
(i) Marks obtained in Best 5 out of 6 Subjects = Aggregate
(ii) For students having a single Language which must be English at HS examination
Marks obtained in Language + 4 Subjects = Aggregate.
Aggregate marks obtained by the students must be out of Full Marks 500.
How to Apply for the Kharagpur College Online Admission 2021-22
Students have to apply online to take admission to Kharagpur College under B.A., B.Sc., B.Com honours & general undergraduate Courses. Students desirous of getting admission have to apply in the printed form available from the office on payment with the following documents:
1. Mark Sheet and Admit Card of previous examinations (original & two attested copies by the Head of the institution last attended.

3. School or College Leaving Certificate from the Institution last attended.
4. Two copies of passport-size photographs (unattested).

Mode of Payment of Admission Fees:
For B.A/B.Sc./B.Com Gen.: (03+03+06) Months
i) Fees of the First Quarter (July to September) are collected at the time of admission.
ii) Fees of the second quarter (October to December) and University exam fees are to be paid before the time of form fill up of University exam of odd semesters.
iii) Fees of third & final quarter (January to June) and other dues with University fees etc. are to be deposited at the time of form fill up of University examination of even semesters.
» For B.A./B.Sc./B.Com Honours (under CBCS system) fees are to be deposited at the time of filling up of University forms of every semester exam.
