Eligibility Criteria for Indian Air Force Airmen 2020
Educational Qualification:
Group X (Except Education Instructor Trade) – Intermediate passed / 12 / Equivalent examination with Mathematics, Physics and English from a Government recognized Education Board with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English or passed Three years Diploma Course in Engineering in any stream.
Group Y (Except for Automobile Technician, Indian Air Force (Police & Security), Medical Assistant and Musician – Intermediate passed / 12 / Equivalent examination in any stream from a Government recognized Education Board with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English or passed Three years Diploma Course in Engineering in any stream.
Group ‘Y’ Medical Assistant Trade Only – 12th / Intermediate passed or Equivalent examination in any stream/subjects with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English
Age Limit:
Candidates must be born between 17 January 2000 and 30 December 2003. In short candidates, the age limit should be between 17 years to 20 years as of January 2020.
In case, a candidate clears all the stages of the selection procedure, then the upper age limit as on date of enrollment is 21 years
Relaxation:
Age relaxation may apply for the reserved candidates as per Government rule.
How To Apply for IAF Airmen Post 2020
Willing and Eligible candidates can apply through the Online. Online registration for the Selection Test will be available from 02 January 2020 on www.airmenselection.cdac.in and will close on 20 January 2020. Detail information/instructions on how to register/fill-up application form are available on the web portal.
Documents to be uploaded during online Registration
- Class 10/Matriculation passing certificate
- Intermediate/10+2 or equivalent mark sheet/mark sheets
- Passport size recent color photograph (taken not before December 2019) of size 10 KB to
50 KB. The photograph is to be taken with the candidate holding a black slate in front of his chest with his name and date of photograph taken, clearly written on it with white chalk in capital letters. - left-hand thumb impression image (Size 10 KB to 50 KB)
- Candidate’s signature image (Size 10 KB to 50 KB).
- Candidate’s parent’s (Father/Mother)/Guardian’s signature image (if the candidate is below
18 years on the date of filling the online application).
Selection Process:
Candidates will be selected on the basis of Online written test, Document verification, Physical Fitness Test (PFT), Adaptability Test & Medical Examination.
Salary Scale:
During the training period, candidates will be paid Rs. 14600/- per month for both Group X and Group Y. After the completion of training, the starting gross emoluments are as follows-
Group X – Rs. 33,100/- per month plus Dearness allowance (as applicable) per month
Group Y – Rs. 26,900/- per month plus Dearness allowance (as applicable per month
Other Allowances:
In addition, various allowances such as Transport Allowance, Composite Personal Maintenance Allowance (CPMA), Leave Ration Allowance (LRA), High Altitude Allowance, Field Area / Modified Field Area Allowance, HRA, Children Education Allowance/ Hostel Subsidy, etc., shall also be admissible from time to time as applicable.
Application fee:
The examination fee of Rs.250/- is to be paid by the candidate while registering for the online examination. The payment can be made by using Debit Cards / Credit Cards / Internet Banking through the payment gateway. The examination fee can also be paid by Challan payment at any Axis Bank Branch.
