About Hijli College:
Hijli College is an undergraduate, coeducational college situated in Hijli, near Kharagpur, Paschim Medinipur, and West Bengal. It was established in the year 1995. The college is under Vidyasagar University. Hijli College started functioning in August 1995. Bounded by the vastly stretched forests of sal, Akashmoni, and Eucalyptus on one side, the college is situated in the midst of the green meadow of Kuchlachati, about 1.5 km from the eastern side of the Prembazar Health Center. Recently, Hijli College has been re-accredited and awarded a C+ grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The college is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC).

Eligibility Criteria for Hijli College Admission 2021-22 – Hijli College Online Application

Admission Criteria of Hijli College:
Candidates who are passing the Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or any other equivalent board/council in the years 2020/2019/2018 are eligible to apply. However, a candidate passing the 10+2 level examination before 2018 with the above-mentioned criteria can also apply after getting special permission from the Secretary, UG Council of Vidyasagar University, Paschim Medinipur.
 Candidate must have passed in 5(Five)/4(Four) (where applicable) recognized subjects including at least one language subject.
 Candidates who passed the vocational Course can apply in B.A. (General) Course only.
 For the Honours course, the candidates must have passed with at least 45% marks in aggregate or 50% marks in subjects or related subjects in the qualifying examination.

Merit List of Hijli College:
Merit list will be published for all subjects. Candidates can check the seating capacity from the admission portal. Reservation rules will be maintained in the admission process and reserved category seats for different subjects have been set as per Govt. rules. Admission will be strictly on Merit Basis for the subject English(Hons.) only. The merit point of the applicant will be calculated by taking into account 10% of the Marks of the best five subjects and the Marks of the subject applied for.

Hijli College Counselling:
Admission is made strictly on the basis of merit as per the marks obtained in the last qualifying examination, keeping in view the stipulated Rules and Regulations set by the University of Calcutta and the Higher Education Department of State Government. There is also a provision of reservation of seat of
