About Deshapran Mahavidyalaya:
Deshapran Mahavidyalaya, established in 2010, is the government degree college in Durmut, Deshapran block, Purba Medinipur district. It offers undergraduate courses in arts. It is affiliated with Vidyasagar University. The college is situated about 2Kms north of the Contai town, near the Durmuth Bus stand, on the Contai Mecheda Road and in an ideal and idyllic ambience in a terrain of about six acres of land, apportioned by the Government of West Bengal. The Higher Education Department of the State Government & Vidyasagar University accorded the necessary permission of Deshapran Mahavidyalaya on 13th & 21st September 2010 respectively. According to the University rules, at present internal assessment for General coursed & Honours courses are being conducted. In order to boost interest in higher education among the poor and meritorious students, they are given concession with the rule in existence.

Eligibility Criteria for Deshapran Mahavidyalaya Admission 2021-22 – Deshapran Mahavidyalaya Online Application

Deshapran Mahavidyalaya Admission Criteria:
Candidates who are passing the Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or any other equivalent board/council in the years 2020/2019/2018 are eligible to apply. However, a candidate passing the 10+2 level examination before 2018 with the above-mentioned criteria can also apply after getting special permission from the Secretary, UG Council of Vidyasagar University, Paschim Medinipur.
 Candidate must have passed in 5(Five)/4(Four) (where applicable) recognized subjects including at least one language subject.
 Candidates who passed the vocational Course can apply in B.A. (General) Course only.
 For the Honours course, the candidates must have passed with at least 45% marks in aggregate or 50% marks in subjects or related subjects in the qualifying examination.

Admission will be conducted strictly on the basis of merit. The subject wise merit lists will be prepared based on corresponding index mark for all categories of students. SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B candidates from only West Bengal are eligible for reservation benefits.

Deshapran Mahavidyalaya Counselling:
