Eligibility Criteria for Admission in Bengal Music College class 2020-21

A candidate who has passed the H.S. (10+2) examination or its equivalent examination is eligible to seek admission to the 1 st year of the 3-year B.Mus. (Hons.Gen.) Courses of studies provided he/she has also passed in English having full marks of not being less than 100.

For the Honours, subject candidates should score 45% marks in the subject or related subject at the previous qualifying examination. OR 50% marks in the subject or related subject at the previous qualifying examination.

However, candidates belonging to the backward class (SC / ST) taking up honors course must have scored a minimum 0f 40% marks in the subject or related subjects at the previous qualifying examination.

How To Apply for the Bengal Music College Admission 2020
Students can apply through the online mode (link is given below) or the offline admission form is also available college administration office. Admission form is issued to the candidates on the production of Original Mark sheet and Admit Card of the last qualifying examination, from the college office. Candidates belonging to S.C./S.T./O.B.C. are required to produce the certificate from a competent authority. All other information regarding the admission procedure will be notified in the College Notice Board

Reservation:
As per the existing rule of the Government of West Bengal, college sates will be reserved for all the cast and the category. Students who claim such reservations while filling up the admission form must be produced during counseling. SC / ST candidates from other states will be treated as a general category.

Bengal Music College Merit list 2020

A merit list of selected candidates will be published on the official website of the Bengal Music College. The merit list will be prepared by adding the marks in top-four subjects in order of marks secured by a candidate. However, marks in Compulsory Environmental Education/Studies shall not be taken into account for the calculation of aggregate marks if the subject Environmental Science is studied as an elective subject of 100 marks, may be taken into account to determine the aggregate marks.
