About Bankura Zilla Saradamani Mahila Mahavidyapith:
Bankura Zilla Saradamani Mahila Mahavidyapith, established in 1973, is a women’s college in the Bankura district of West Bengal, India. It is the only women’s college in the Bankura district. It offers undergraduate courses in arts and sciences. It is affiliated with Bankura University. Bankura Zilla Saradamani Mahila Mahavidyapith was established to promote higher education and culture among the young women of the Bankura district and its adjoining areas. It was established as a non-government private college under the University of Burdwan. The college is named so to preserve the name of Sarada Devi. Recently, Bankura Zilla Saradamani Mahila Mahavidyapith has been re-accredited and awarded an A grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The college is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC).
Eligibility Criteria for Bankura Zilla Saradamani Mahila Mahavidyapith Online Admission 2021-22
Admission Criteria:
Students who have passed the Higher Secondary examination (10+2) conducted by the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary education (W.B.C.H.S.E.) after a period of 12 years study or any other equivalent (10+2) pattern exam conducted by the I.S.C. or C.B.S.E. or any other board recognized as equivalent by the Bankura University, provided the student has passed in at least four subjects with English as a compulsory subject, excluding Environmental Studies/Environmental Education. Those students who have obtained either (i) 55% marks in the aggregate or (ii) 50% marks in the aggregate with 60% marks in the subject in the qualifying exam shall be eligible to apply for admission to Hons. in the subject concerned in gen. categories. However, the above criterion reduces to (i) 50% marks in the aggregate or (ii) 45% marks in the aggregate with 60% marks in the subject in the qualifying exam shall be eligible to apply for admission to Hons. in the subject concerned in SC/ST categories.
How to Apply for the BZSMM College Admission 2021-22
Students have to apply online to take admission to Bankura Zilla Saradamani Mahila Mahavidyapith under Bachelor of Arts (B.A.), Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) Hons. & gen. undergraduate Courses. BZSMM College Merit List:
Admission will be strictly on a merit basis. The merit point of an applicant will be judged by taking into account 10% of the marks obtained in the best five subjects and the marks obtained in the subject applied for. Merit list for admission will be based on marks obtained in the best five subjects including two languages and three elective subjects for Honours subjects. Applicant having only one language subject will not be entertained.
